Swarovski Crystal World in Austria

In Austria I visited a beautiful place called Swarovski Crystal World (Swarovski Kristallwelten). It is located in the mountains of Tirol in Wattens, just outside of Innsbruck. It's a gorgeous place filled with thousands of shimmering crystals.

Swarovski Crystal World first opened in 1995 and since then it has topped the list of the best things to see in Austria. The admission fee for adults is 19 Euros.
When you enter Swarovski Crystal World you will see a garden artwork is known as 'The Giant.' It was designed by artist André Heller and the meaning behind the garden artwork is that the giant is supposed to watch over the crystals and protect them.
Inside Swarovski Crystal World there are 16 Chambers of Wonder. Inside the Chambers of Wonder there are artworks designed by international artists using crystals or artworks that are inspired by crystals. There are also rooms filled with mirrors that make you feel like you are surrounded by crystals.

There is also a restaurant and a Swarovski store selling crystals, various Swarovski merchandise like watches, sunglasses and t-shirts and of course Swarovski crystal jewellry. I purchased a pair of Swarovski crystal earrings for myself and for my mother. It is useful to know that if you only want to Swarovski Kristallwelten Store without visiting the exhibition and garden, then the admission is free.

There have been some changes to Swarovski Crystal World since I last visited it. In 2015 Swarovski Crystal World went through changes and some the chambers were redesigned, a play tower for children has been added, and new garden installations have been added.
